I would like to have an excellent learning experience in an international and multicultural environment. My goal is to practise Mandarin as much as possibile in order to master the language and apply for a Master program in September 2019.
I have already studied in Chinese Universities (in Beijing and in Tianjin), but I have never lived in Shanghai, so I would like to study in this city, trying to keep an affordable cost of living as well.

I have studied Chinese up to GCSE (O Level) and achieved an A, but have forgotten a good deal of it and want to learn it again. It is a very beautiful and useful language; I am only 18 years old, but I am taking a gap year before I go to university in order to travel alone to Shanghai so that I can reconnect with the Chinese language and culture. My mother is half-Chinese, and thus I was raised with Chinese cultural influences but I would like to be as fluent as possible in the language itself. SISU looks like a welcoming, warm, high-quality learning environment, and it would be a dream to study there.

Ever since three years ago I have been interested in learning the beautiful Chinese language and personally experience the Chinese culture. Moreover, Shanghai is known for being a very student-friendly city with lots of interesting things to do. Additionally, the SISU Campus looks absolutely breathtaking and offers a lot of different possibilities to enjoy in my spare time. Most importantly, the courses which the University offers are exactly what I have been looking for! I extremely appreciate the fact that the University places so much importance on the pronunciation of Chinese and even offers foreign students the chance to learn more about the Chinese history.
